Vercel V0

My first attempt at AI-assisted developing was a few months ago with Vercel’s V0. It was not a success, but it was a learning experience for me. I had many frustrations, and I recall that the AI had difficulty producing what I asked for. I think I was asking for too-large steps in my instructions, when it expected more atomic requests. For example, I might have asked for a full web page with three features on it, when it probably would have worked better if I added one feature at a time. I recall it did not seem to know what I really wanted to do with the backend database.

I don't think it would be fair to make any harsh judgements at this time, since this was my first attempt, and I have had other successes elsewhere. I should come back to v0 and try again someday. It looks like they have made updates and improvements since then, so if you are interested in trying to make a web app, I recommend you try it if it is in your budget (it leans very heavily on the idea that you will easily be able to host your new app on Vercel).
